Inauguration Day 2017 (We're Not Leaving Town) by Todd Burge

Pray if you pray
Or maybe meditate
On the state of a nation starting over
Over the hill
Or the hump, if you will
Or maybe we’re just climbing
Up up up

Our class is half full
And our hearts are broken
Yet hope is pumping out
So, we’re not leaving town
We’re not leaving town

So what can we do?
Are you feeling helpless too?
But just help those who
Might need more than you and I do?

Lift up a child
Pick up the down and out
Shoot a sunny ray in the way
Of some nasty cloud

Our class is half full
And our hearts are broken
Yet hope is pumping out
So, we’re not leaving town
We’re not leaving town

So, pray if you pray
Or maybe meditate
On the state of a nation starting over

The “Our Albums Are Released Tour”  2016
Larry Groce
www.larrygroce.com
Grammy Nominee & Mountain Stage host Larry Groce and his wife Sandra Groce, violist with the West Virginia Symphony, have made a new studio recording called “Live Forever.” (Produced by Don Dixon) It includes three of Larry’s original songs and eight covers, mostly songs connected to Mountain Stage over the years. This very well received recording is Groce’s first album in over two decades.
“this album demonstrates that [Larry] should not have stayed away so long. While the album consists of mostly covers of songs done by artists who appeared on the show — such as Townes Van Zandt, Jesse Winchester, and Billy Joe Shaver — the originals are the treasures.  Most notably, ‘What Do You Think About (When You Think Of Love),’ which was inspired by the great American writer Raymond Carver. In it, Groce becomes the Robert Altman of song…’When the Mist Clears Away’…captures West Virginia, in all its magnificence and obscurity, like few others”  Amos Perrine – No Depression
Listen to Larry Groce with Ray Wylie Hubbard  – Live Forever:
Todd Burge has a new album out as well entitled “Live from Mountain Stage 2006-2015”. The CD includes 17 tracks of original material.  Larry Groce has called Burge “WV’s premier songwriter”.
“Like a Randy Newman with a guitar, he’s also been described as a Warren Zevon who can evoke bizarre characters and situations….hearing Burge live takes the cake. The only other live Mountain Stage albums by a single artist are by Jesse Winchester and Laura Nyro, so Burge is in good company. “ Amos Perrine – No Depression

Comb Over A Big Bunch of Lies
Download the song for free. Place a “zero” in after clicking the “Buy now” button.

Super Tuesday's aftermath had me thinking about Pete Seeger, protest songs, Punk Rock and more. Share this song. Write your own song/poem. Learn this song & share if you are like minded.  Speak your mind, no matter where your mind is set. Love Todd #makedonalddrumpfagain

Comb Over A Big Bunch of Lies
3-2-2016

Some want to cry out
Some want to leave
Some want to punch the face of their enemy
Just for what they believe
Some will take it lying down
Some will never let it die

The winds of change
Have blown a comb over
A big bunch of lies

We all remember
Like it was yesterday
All of the hatred
That ruled from state to state
But reason prevailed
On all that did divide

And now the winds of change
Have blown a comb over
A big bunch of lies

So, what should we do?
If not you, then who?
Stand up and speak out
Just share your mood
Think of the children
And who they look up to
Don’t sit in silence
With that anger in your eyes

As the winds of change
Blow this comb over
A big bunch of lies

The winds of change
Have blown a comb over
A big bunch of lies

FIGHT FOOD ALLERGIES ONE SONG AT A TIME! only 5 Days Left!

Sophia and Daddy Burge - Giddy Over Your Support!
How are you? Will you help me out with this?   I have only 5 days left!
As you might now, I’ve been “Fighting Severe Food Allergies,One Song at a Time”  this month.

Our 9 year old Sophia has life threatening food allergies and The Food Allergy Network (FARE) have helped us tremendously with the daily challenges that go along with this condition.

I’m nearing the end of my campaign. Yikes!
My goal is to raise $6500 by Christmas Eve and we have reached $2500 as of today.

Basically, this is a campaign featuring all the things I do in my musical life, like, Gift Songs, Concerts, Albums, Kids music and songwriter workshops. I’ve even made jewelry out of the instrument strings used on my latest album.  I call these my “PERKS”.

15% of all proceeds from the PERKS will go to the Food Allergy Network (FARE). Of course, if, you would just like to donate to FARE, 100% will go to them.

You can give as little as ONE DOLLAR and I will send you my latest LIVE ALBUM DOWNLOAD! Live in Orlando!

Check out all the PERKS here, there’s still time to use some of them as holiday gifts if you act right now.
It would sure mean a lot to me.  Thank you for supporting what I do. I couldn’t do it without you.

Happy Holidays
Sincerely,

Todd
